Speech and Debate

Saterday 5:30AM I arrived at the school and got on the bus, We were headed for Mt. Pleasent for a tournament. As we were about to enter the freeway ramp we stopped and waited for a few boys who were late, it was funny to watch them hop the fence and run toward us, they looked like jailbirds. Once we arrived and got settled, we each got out number which we had to remember the rest of the day, I was P22, once that was done everyone was off to see when there tournaments began. I had three, 9:15, noon, and 2:15.

As I waited for my first round I talked to a guy named Aaron from a boarding school up by park city, he was cool. any way the Lincoln Douglas (LD) ppl were not done so we changed rooms. The first judge was pretty awesome and new at judging. I was up against Aaron and a girl from my class. My topic was Snowman. afterward we were off to await our next round. Durring that time I played some card games with Annie, Abby, and Brittney. I had a little snack and then Brittney and I played with my gold spinner for fun and so I could practice on my spins and jumps. it was funny to see people watching us with confused looks.

SECOND ROUND was against a girl and guy, the guy went first and then left cause he was double booked. then I went with the topic "Michael Jackson", I felt that I did better on that than I did on the one before. The girl went last and sadly she did not do very well, she didn't have much to even talk about. I returned to the commons and finished some lunch and then walked around a bit with Annie, at one point of time I shook my hair upside down and it went really poofy!! and then I was making funny faces, that's when Annie said I should give one of those looks as a pick up for guys, lol so then we all started making up poses.

THIRD ROUND before I went I walked up to this cute cowboy named Travis and asked for his number!! which he gave me lol. any way the round was interesting, the first girl did an amazing job and blew us out of the water. then two boys went, then me with the topic something like sick of being really really ridiculously good looking and want to know the real meaning to life. I did great on that one. As we returned to the commons and finished playing Mow someone said that Annie made it to finals! then they asked if I was P22, they said I made it to finals too, so of courrse I SCREAMED!! then asked what the heck is finals haha.

FINALS!! so the girl that did amazing me, a boy from my school, and two other boys went against each other, and several people including that cowboy were there watching, I went first with the topic Rodeo, and then was followed by everyone else. When we were done we went to the auditorium and got awards, I recieved a certificate for being a finalist, but that other girl got 1st place. It was a great experience and kinda fun but really time consuming!

BYU game

My first BYU football game that i've been to. (visiting dad at work doesnt count in this case). I recieved an email from my cousin April saying they had extra season tickets. My dad and I and Uncle John all went together and then my Uncle Dick, Aunt Debbie, and April showed up!!! April and I talked alot. At half time My cousins Adam and Austin came to sit with us and April and I walked about the consession stands, where I ran into Mr Chilcoat from school... wierd. Any way, BYU won!!!! and I really enjoyed the game. The band, cosmo, color guard, and everything was amazing!

HONEY BEE CAME TO TOWN, for thanksgiving break, all day long while I was at the BYU game I was txting her and we decided to have a sleep over! So once as I was packed I headed over and guess who was walking down the street! it was ESTER! I hugged her and practicly started crying I missed her so much, and I was surprised that she even walked over! We chatted and caught up and then started watching the movie "Pearl Harbor" till about 3:30 am and still got to church ontime! After church we hung out a bit and Wesly, Chris, and Camron came over as well. Also durring the week we did the usual just sit around do nothing but talk, and I sat there while her and Mokie (her boyfriend) hung out and she gave that floor guy my number, we went to see the schools play Henry the 5th, and at the end of the week we had another sleep over and stayed up all night, watching, "the Orphan" "the boy in the striped Pajamas" and "The Notebook", we also went on a drive and sang our lungs out to Mulin Rouge like the old days.in the morning I went to a baptism and returned intime to say goodbye.

Now not only do I have pics and memories but I have her blanket, pillow, pants, journal, nail polish etc... due to the fact that she is lazy and doesnt want to take them on the plain and the fact that her Aunt would shred her pants in a shredder the moment she got to New Mexico! I had a GREAT time with her and can't wait till Spring break to see her again.

A while back my friend Jake wanted to set me up on a double date, and like all the double dates with him my date is a blind double date. Well he told me this guy Ryan was 23 and mom said it would be okay, on our date he picked me up and we went to ihop to eat. (one of my fav places to go) after that we headed to jakes to polay a few games which his older brother ended up playing some with us. Eventually we ended up at Day's market to pick up some avacados for jakes brothers singles party which we went to. we made some bean dip on some seranwrap that was tapped to the table and then we played some games while we waited for ppl to arrive. We took lindsay home and then returned to play a game similar but funner than mafia. At the end of the night we started to watch the movie JI Joes, but I had to return home, which luckily he payed attention to the clock and got me home before curfew! that should make mom proud!!

After lots of practice the christmas show finally arrived!! I skated to "Cool Yule" with 4 other amazing girls, who each worked there hardest. The show went great and we really enjoyed ourselves. I enjoyed doing this kind of performence,still I think i'd like to try a full solo perfomrance. Though in the mini solo I had I totally landed that loop!!!

I also helped the little learn to skate kids in there performance to "hippopatamus for x-mas". It was quite funny cause the kids messed up in the middle and the child I was trying to help keep up was so not paying attention and my attempts to get him to march forward ended up in him marching in place or barely moving forward, singing, and doing his own thang. It was quite entertaining.

The Floor Guy

So we were getting new wood floor on tuesday before thanksgiving. I was running late to school and ran downstairs to leave totally bumping into this guy. any way when I returned from school I headed to hang out with Honey Bee. and as I took her bf home I jokingly said.. "I should have given him my number." Upon return to get my cell phone Honey Bee gave him my number!! later that night when I returned from New Moon he called!!! He said hi name is spencer and he was going on a mission wednesday but would be happy to take me on a date.

On monday i went and picked up Jake and Lindsay and returned home to find him chatting with my dad. Then off we went to mini golf where we met up with his friend. I really enjoyed golfing with them and winning tickets,with the tickets we bought spider rings, toy car and for me some rattle snake eggs :) lol those are the funnest.

Afterward we took jake and lindsay home and his friend went home as well. We arrived at the BYU bowling ally 5min before closing and they let us bowl, we were the only ones there and it was really sweet. On the way home we played 20 questions which ended up probably more than 20. It was a really fun laid back easy going date plus he was really kind and easy to talk to, which made it even better.
