Youth Conference.

After a get to know you game with the 5th ward we headed up to the Draper temple for some Baptisms. Now that was the best part out of the whole conference. It was also my first time doing baptisms in a temple other than the provo.
We went up the alpine loop and stayed at a small camp ground. the leaders took us to a field and blindfolded us, that's when everyone started talking, I could hear my leader saying something then finally figured out she was saying "if you listen to me, I'll show you where to go." That's when I stepped forward and followed her voice, she then took my arm and led me to a rope where she said "remember to choose the right". I followed the rope for a while and then it split in two, I followed the rope that felt the same. Then came upon Chandler and Blaze, we started to help each other the rest of the way but it was more like they were helping me by moving branches and saying where the trees where, which I still ran into each one. We got to the end and a guy whispered "congradulations you made it, you can take off yoru blindfold" Turns out we three were the first ones there, and everyone got journals. It was a very NEat experience to have us helping each other along the way, it's just like life and how things should be.

that night we played a few card games. Some leaders came up to me and said that I should tell everyone it was time for bed, I asked why me, they said because they listen to you. So I stood up and was liek okay guys lets go to bed and surprisingly they all emideatly responded to that and went to bed. Audry, Annie, (Tara)Sis Smith and I shared a tent, but Annie ,Tara, and I shared two air mattresses together, now that was interesting. we were squishing each other, Also Annie and Audry got us all into a big huge Giggle fits.

The following day we all hiked up to Stewart Falls. Right before we left I stood under the water fall, it felt so good, but walking all soaked is not so fun. On our return we got in the cars and drove up to Timp caves. Kelly B. Walked up with me the whole time and helped me out the whole time. I was really appreciative of him helping me, such a gentlemen. The caves were so much fun. The two cars we took decided to get some ice cream before we left and good thing too cause one of the cars left without their group by accident so we didnt get back for another hour.

That night was testimony night and sister Gren gave a great talk. Kelly's Testimony had me crying. Around the camp fire I started to sing some camp songs and the guys seemed to like "How do you move a mountain" the most. Sister Zamora was ready for bed so Once again I was like okay everyone lets go to bed and they obeyed haha. where as they wouldn't listen to anyone else.

In the morning our tent was the first one emptied and ready to be packed, when we went to breakfast the guys were like, you finally woke up, we responded with yeah we're already packed and everything haha. it was funny cause we beat them at packing.

Youth conference was awesome. but not as awesome as the time we stayed at Bishop Porter's parents house.

If you could ask God one question what would it be?

The biggest wonder I have, Why/ How did it ALL start? I'd like to know the history of God, what came before him, like how did that all start out and why was it to be? The mental image in my head when I think this is just a whole bunch of stars, galaxy's, and Heavens, where did it all begin? I hope my question isn't too confusing.

Ask me anything!

Are you planning to go on a mission?

I plan to go on a /multiple missions with my husband once as all the kids are married and moved out. As for now i'm already serving as a member missionary, and I enjoy doing so very much!!!! Sharing the gospel is one of the many joys I have found in life, that is something that will never be taken from me. It gets me excited to serve a mission with my best friend doing the Lords grand work.

Skatefest Day 2

In the morning I had my very own Warm Up on home ice, then took off to the same rink as the night before with Mom and Dad. My Skate Buddies Lindsay Swan and Sara Bourgerie had met us there along with our coach Allison. Out of us three Sara was first to Compete then Lindsay with me last...

I got out there and Off I went with an alright spin but the exit was hesitant, and the twizzle didn't happen, then the rest was going smoooooothly with a smile upon my face :D Once as I got to my flip jump I touched the ice on the landing no biggie, the rest again went smoooothly and great! Though I'd have to say once again I did not like their ice at all. As I bowed I thought I'm satisfied with this, but as soon as I got off the ice all the emotions and PMS caught up to me and I was quiet and so out of it. Now that was VERY SUPER annoying to not only those around me but also to myself.

Mom bought me three tag type things with sayings such as "Ice Princess" I love them so Thanks Mom.we waited for our results which ended in Sara took 2nd, Lindsay sadly took 5th (It seemed like it just wasn't her day. :( ) and I took 4th.

Afterwards Mom and Dad Left while all of us plus Saras mom and Charlene (also from the rink who came to watch) all went to TGI Friday's for Lunch then returned to watch sara do her last performance.

Thank you Mom and Dad for taking me to both events. I LOVE YOU.

Skatefest '10 Artistic

Mom and Dad drove me up to the ice rink in West Valley (I think). I competed at 7:52 and they were just a bit ahead of schedual. So as I waited to go on I walked around with my coach and kept lifting my knees to my chest. Instead of competing against one other it ended up being two other girls. Both of their routines were more upbeat in the tempo as where mine is more of a slow romantic song. During the warm up I decided I did not like the Ice at the rink, it was hard to get a grip of it with my blades.

The first time not on home ice is a little nerve racking. Though I tried my best, every thing went smoothly, I ended a few seconds ahead but quickly and gracefully fixed that. Once as I stepped off the ice we felt satisfied with what I did. It was a very enjoyable experience. In the End I got 2nd place, this I was very content with, considering it is my favorite routine at the moment.

The trophy we received are really cool, the expense to be in this competition paid for the trophies and the pictures too. Any way the Trophies are rectangular and glass, they are very pretty!!

I really enjoyed this competition.

Follow the Son

This year at girls camp I got to be a LEADER!!! Also we had three special girls get to come with us The Montanos girls. (Mayra, Leslie, Linda) they are also of a differnt faith. Mayra got sick while we were there so they moved her bed downstairs next to mine, so through out the week we became really close. the first day there everyone was to recieve a letter from their parents and I had theirs and lost it (which we cant figure out how) so I personally wrote each of the Montanos girls a letter.
These are my Second years that I was in charge of, here we just got to know each other rather than work on our certification for 2 hours. haha.

My Second years and the Montanos family got to help out for Flag Ceremony, later that week we were told that we did the best and were really respectful.
This is my Watch, I forgot one and then ended up being a fav in the ACL's. Behind me is our statue with armor on it, she scared alot of ppl so we had to put her in the trailer.
Quick story, on the way there Josie and I confiscated a male barbie doll (with inapropriate things )from some girls on the bus, they were upset but we kept it, later they asked for it and we said we would give it to their leaders. One day Our YWstake Campe Pres. Sister Gren pulled me and Sister Smith aside to inform sis Smith of what was going on and to say that a girl on the bus saw was annoyed with the girls and saw what I did, so she told sister Gren about it and that she was greatful for me to be on the bus. So then Sister Smith and I were like crying and thanking her for telling us and I told her if she could inform the girl that I said thanks and all.
After we Hiked up to Lone Pine. Mayra had low blood pressure and we still wanted to be together so Papa Bear gave her a ride.

At Singing in the Trees. This night we had a health scare with Mayra and so once everyone got back (after my lil group w/ me said a prayer for her) we were all called into the other cabin and was informed of what was happening, girls all around me were crying and holding each other and I remember thinking "why am I not crying when I feel so bad too?" any way, then Sister Hill asked me to say a prayer for her. I requested that we kneel and then as I said the prayer I just started to cry! when I said Amen is when we realized that her sister had just walked in and heard the prayer. No One said a word, cause we could all feel the SPIRIT SO STRONG. it was one of the Most memorable moments of girls camp and it changed all of us.
My hair curlers were a hit this year!
Finally my 2nd years and I did some Certification!
WATER FRONT!!!
Confidance Course. I love this next picture of them lifting me through the spiders web we had great team work. and our group beat the other half of our ward on gettign everyone on a piece of wood for the longest time of like 180 something seconds it was like twice as much as the others got.
The Leaders making breakfast for our speacial girls.
Sister Smith and I. Everyone decided to wear these t-shirts the day that the bishop came and we even gave him a tshirt.
Testimony meeting. The night everyone looks forward to. It even rained. We were so blessed to have the Montanos girls there and to hear them bear testimonies of their own. Which I cried the most on Mayra's haha.

AFTER CAMP AWARDS. So Josie and I were put in charge of awards but this one is what the girls camp up with for me and I feel that if fits perfectly!!! the last picture is of all of us and our approns + awards.

All night Party

So as you arrive there was like ppl standing outside where this red carpet was and they were 'pretending' to be the security gaurds and such, it was cool.
When lindsay and I arrived we got our tickets, put our purses with the lady then checked everything out, we decided to eat first so we we had nachos and hotdogs and popcorn and candy!! haha.
TICKET BOOTH

We Found Tyler and Mitch and together decided to get our hair done, Lindsay left to chill with some other friends. Turns out you can't do much to Mitch's hair.

At 1 everyone was sent to the Commons and an Illusionist came. Tyler was of the Chosen ones and was hilarious throughout the whole thing. He convinced them they were hot, cold, in water, in a rocket, dancing with a superstar, on fire etc. WHAT A SHOW. I could not stop laughing.

Following that we went to Gym 1 where we watched several ppl including Mitch and Tyler have some fun on the blow ups! lindsay and I did not try this one but we did try one where you have to race through the thing, climb over, under, through and slide down kind of thing, they also had one that would fling you back.
Movie stuff.
My good friend Kevin Garcia found me and lindsay chatting away and sitting on the floor in GYM 2. so we all sat together and just started chatting for a good hour or more.

Lindsay and I.

Soon it was Breakfast time!!!! this is me on the red carpet to breakfast. French Toast!
What a blast we all had.
