Double date with my parents.

I went on two double dates.. with my parents..

First they took Mitch and I to the one day premiere of "Rise", a documentary of the USA Olympic figure skaters of 1961 plane crash. It was pretty good.. a little boring here and there but it was a story i've never heard so it was great. After ward Dad treated us to Red Robins. DELICIOUS!!!! it was an awesome night!

Second Mom took us to this little mini concert in SLC at a church, where moms friend Rachelle Call, Jen Handy, Jessie Clark Funk, and Aaron Edson. It was called "A Night in Recovery". Mom bought the CD too. All the songs they sang were beautiful. It was a great night/ experience, especially getting to talk to the singers a bit afterward.

My Valentines '11

I wanted to get Mitchel something for Valentines, so I went to Kmart and found these big stuffed animals on sale. :) In the end I bought two, a Gorrila for him and a Teddy Bear for me.

When Mitch arrived I went around the corner and came back holding his Gorrila w/card attached. :) he seemed to really enjoy his gift. We decided to take the stuffed animals with us, we decided that his Gorrila would be named Rufio and mine would be Wendy.

Upon arriving at his house we walked in the side kitchen door, all the lights were off and his family gone. On the table was an old fashioned karosine lanturn lit up and somewhere I could hear romantic music. He set our stuff there and led me into the front room, where a table was set up with a cloth covering it, four candles, wine glasses, food, and a card. :) He pulled out my chair for me as I sat down then went to go heat up the chinese food. In my card I saw a box opened with a Pearl Necklace in it. I've been wanting one for a while. Oh I could not stop GRINNING over everthing!! :D Mitch sat accross from me and we read our cards. I took of the jewlery I had on already as Mitchel got a nother box out, Inside was 3 pearl earrings! I picked one out and put it on along with my pearl necklace. Half way through dinner he took my hand and we slow danced together.

My next surprise. We got in the car and he started toward the canyon and up the road of Squaw Peak. It was blocked off part way up, so we stopped there. Mitchel got out some blankets for us to sit on in front of the car, and some blankets to put around each of us. I hugged my teddy bear to keep me warm too. As I started to point out some stars near the big dipper, I believe it was Dracco the dragon, Mitchel pulled a box out of his pocket. It surprised me cause I thought we were all finished with surprises for the evening. At first I was like what in the world could be in that box, he's already given me a necklace, and earings... but in the box was a beautiful locket for me to put a picture in so I could remember the evening.

Back at home I was enjoying taking photos with my camera, while also trying to get a photo of us kissing or at least a kiss on the cheek, which he didn't want, so it was a fun little struggle that ended with my camera taken away and me being tickled.

I really enjoyed my Valentines, it was all such a surprise and all so very romantic!!!

Saturday before Valentines day we went to his Stake center to a valentines ball. He looked so HANDSOME! The whole gym was full of tables and chairs. We got our food and sat at a table in the far back with his Bishop, (who by the way is cool). After eating we went for a walk, ended up in the primary room where he played some piano, then we returned to the gym to dance. His cousin came near the end for the dance, so we ended up going to the Purple Turtle to eat. I had a FANTASTIC night.

19th Birthday!

Two day's before my birthday I had my purse stolen from work. I was so upset and said a prayer as I waited for dad to bring me a spare key to the car, I love him he is my Hero. Once as I got home Mitch pulled up and just got off the phone with a guy who found my purse. We drove up to the Chevron by the Crestwood apartments and retrieved it. My purse was run over and destroyed, all that was stolen of any importance was my camera and a dollar. But i'm glad to have my stuff back and that the Lord was watching over me.

On my actual birthday I wanted to go to the temple before work, so I woke up early and arrived to find that there was a line to the ladies locker room. It took me an hour and a half to get through to do confirmations. My friend Josh Olsen's sister was there too so it was nice to see her. I"m so glad I was able to at least do confirmations before work and still get there just in time.

Work went really well and was enjoyable. After work and getting ready for the day I headed over to Mitchels house and had a quick lunch. Then together we met at the canyon with his friends, Trevor, Haley, Steven etc. and drove together to Park City to go to the Sundance Film Festival. We were walking up a street to get to main street but decided to head back so we could get in line for a waiting number. On the way back we road the trolly thing which is always fun.

We sat in the building waiting to get in line, Trevor found a Student filmmaker lounge so everyone went to check that out as Mitch and I waited for his cousin to arrive. Once as they did we all got in line. My number ended up being 40 and they said only numbers 1-40 have the best chance of getting in. eeek!

We all went back up to the Student Lounge and had some food while we watched some films that students had made. Trevor even got to show them some of his films right before we had to go get back in line. Turns out no one with a waiting number was allowed in cause the seats filled up fast. Even people who had tickets couldn't get in. So our plan of action was to head up to main street to grab some pizza. By the time we got there we realized it was super busy, so we came to provo and ate at the Pizza Pie Cafe. :) YUM. To end my night Mitch and I watched Inception at his house then I went home.
A few day's later he came over to hang out. There waiting for me on the fireplace was the "How?" book from deseret book. My bday gift from him. :) AWESOME BIRTHDAY!! loved it.
