Christmas '10

Woot, so like on New Years eve I went ice skating with Mitchel, and saw my deaf friend Gideon plus his family we all skated together and had fun. Then later Mitch and I went to a grocery store and purchased fuzes and a cookie for me which he wouldn't let me eat until after I had my lunch. So back at the house we had soup for lunch, and then root beer floats and sat on the couch talking it was really nice and relaxing.
Later that day Dad and I watched Narnia 1 which I fell asleep watching. Grandma and Grandpa Hill came over to give us a gift then Dad and i went back to watching the second one. part way through I went to mom and asked if I had pjs this year and then I put them on and went to finish the movie and off to bed early.

XMAS I was up and going by 7:30 and then mom and dad made me wait so we didn't start till like an hour later. It was a great christmas I got some cute boots, adn some BKE jeans from Buckle, a new purse, flat/ curling iron, book, P.s. I love you, the illusionist, xmas countdown, calendar, bath stuff, hair stuff, stuff stuff stuff. it was a great xmas.
Dad made an omlet for all three of us for breakfast.
Mom, Dad, and I went to see the new Narnia 3 movie which was pretty good. So I spent most my day just watching movies. That night I was invited over to Trevors parents house in Lindon to have a game night. we played multiple games, i enjoyed the Just Dance 2 the best.
That was my xmas this year and It was quite enjoyable!

Farewell to Mitch

AAAAAAAAAAA i'm getting old!! One of my best friends from Elementary school in my little gang had his mission farewell and we hung out for the last time. His farewell talk was great, and I realized how old we are and how far we have come, we are all growing up. Before he left we had the opportunity to get the gang together and have a snowball fight, watch a movie like old times, and we went ice skating together. Then after his farewell we got together and went to Lazzer Assault, It was a blast to go out and have fun one last time before he left.

Fun Date

So over the weekend some random number kept calling my cell and I was SO not gonna answer it, but on sunday I finally decided to see who it was. It was Mitchel Shira from the game nights i'd been to with Aileen. He asked me to go on a double date with him, Steve, and Lisa.

When he picked me up we first headed off to the Olive Garden for dinner! I was nervous cause I can't eat in front of guys. Turns out... I can eat in front of him, and I enjoyed our conversation of asian food, and family, dinner was delicious.

Following dinner we headed over to the Ice Rink just in time to skate for 30min before public ended. The disco ball was going and we had a blast! I attempted to teach Mitchel a few things and he attempted to try and actually did quite well. So although we didn't have alot of time to skate we did have tons of fun, Mitch and I even decide we should come again sometime to skate longer. On our way out the door I said goodbye to some of the people I knew who were working, one of them, mouthed to me.. "He's Hot!" i was like "I know right?" then we started to laugh. :)
Following our adventure in skating, Steve drove us to Smiths, we split up in search for things to make Apple cider, It took me and Mitch awaile to find our stuff lol. Back at Steves appartment Lisa and I met his roomates as Steve changed his shoes. Now this is where the real fun begins! All four of us went out front of his appartment and had an epic snowball fight! Mitch and I VS. Steve and Lisa. We were running from each other and just clobbering snow, One of my snowballs hit Steve in the face and so he started after me, luckily Mitchel got in the way and took him out for me. Then we decided to build a snowman. Mitch and I were in charge of the middle piece which ended up being bigger then the bottom. It took us 5 people to get it on and that was only with half of our middle piece. The men sculpted and awesome looking face out of the snow and we also place a hat upon his head. While Steve an Lisa made a second snowman for our snowman to be standing on, Mitch an I tried to make an arm... it wasn't strong enough but that was okay, we gave him a sword and he looked AWESOME. any way next thing I know Mitch is standing by the door and Steve has a snowball aimed for him, so I got a huge snowball and came around the snowman and told steve to drop it! and then he threw it at mitch so I threw mine and steve and then mitch and I were just chasing him and throwing snow. i ended up falling in the snow but mitch said he'd avenge my death, it was TONS OF FUN!
After our adventures outside we headed in to make some Apple Cider which by the way was delicious! as we enjoyed that we sat and all just talked of all kinds of things. Like his mission in Korea. I had a WONDERFUL time with Mitchel!!

Temple Lights.

Aileen, Logan and I all wanted to see the SLC Temple lights so we made it a plan to go. First we went to a place called Jdawgs to eat, it was so delicious that i spilled the sauce on myself, and I couldn't decide what drink to get so I mixed Dr.Pepper and Apple Beer together and it was pretty good.
Once as we got to SLC it took us a while to find parking, we ended parking up the hill a few blocks away. Once there we walked around near the reflection water, asked a few strangers to take some photos of us and continued on. We decided to check out the lights inside the gates before they locked them and on our way there I heard someone say my name, when I turned around I saw a girl looking at me, and couldn't believe who it was. We hugged and greeted then departed. It was an interesting experience considering how several days leading up to the night I felt as though I would run into someone I knew out of a certain party of friends I knew and sure enough it happend. I got a little emotional. The lights inside the gate were pretty cool but we enjoyed the other lights more. We ventured up above the reflections pool and found several differnt nativity sets that were quite interesting, and some candle shades with pictures of christs life. it was reallly neat!
On our way back near the point of the mt. it got a little more snowy and traffice slowed down quite a bit. We ended up playing 20 questions after the point of the mt. all the way back to his appartment. Once there we went accross the street to his friends and watched Peter Pan! great movie.
Any way I had a ton of fun and am glad we had the chance to go.

Fun Nights Out..

After the Nutcracker and work I ended up at Logans with him and Josh we watched "The Sorcerers Apprentice." it was a great movie.

This past weekend on Friday after skating practice and work I was just turning on the car and saw the temple with the night lights on and all and just felt that I should go tonight so when I got home I went to call Aileen, there were two txts from her already saying we should go so of course we did! it was a great experience and exactly where we needed to be. After that we were on campus and we saw our cousins Chris and his wife Chealsie and then their friend. We went to the library and got a movie for Aileen.

Josh and I were texting and he invited us to watch a movie at Logans. So after running to rite aid we arrived and he wasn't even there yet. there was someone who did look familiar but he recognized Aileen instead haha his name is Trevor we met at the murder mystery. Logan still looks extreamly familiar to me and we just can't figure it out! Any way they were inviting ppl over to watch ELF and have hot chocolate. so two other guys and a girl showed up. The movie was good and so was everyones comapany. it was nice to be there after the Temple.

The Following day(this past saturday) Josh and I had planned to go Ice skating again for him to try his own skates. But he first had to babysit his neices and nephews, their movie didn't get over in time to go skating so we went for a walk instead... it was nice. When we returned we played a few rounds of Pool, the second round was fun because it never ended! haha. We sat for a bit on the big love sac, when another girl came in and started to talk to Josh. They were trying to figure out how to hook up her ipod to the sound system. While they did that I tried to play the piano off of memory but it wasn't working. Josh played the piano too and it was beautiful. Well it ended all way too soon! he had to met up with a mish comp to see the movie Inception so we said our goodbyes.

Later as I was watching the Jazz game and on the computer Logan asked if Aileen and I wanted to go to Trevors sisters house to play rockband. After Aileen finished studying we headed over, Josh didn't come cause he saw a movie with someone else and wasn't up to it. Well we got there right as they finished playing rockband, but just intime to play some other games. More people showed up (I met Haley Trevors sister, Mitchel, Daniel, and more) so we all split into two difernt rooms. Logan went to the other while Aileen and I stayed. The first game we played was sighns. The second game was called Moose Moose. it was SO MUCH FUN!!!!!!!!!!!! I love that game! Though after a few rounds some ppl in our group left so the other group returned and we played a bigger round of Moose Moose. Lets see if I can explain it right.. One person is Moose moose, the seat next to them is the lowest seat. each person/seat has a sign and sound. so lets say there is a snake(sssss), a dog(arf arf), cougar (roar roar), for example the person who is moose starts "moose moose, arf arf" "arf arf, ssssss" "sssssss moose moose" "moose moose roar roar" etc. the game gets fast and crazy if you mess up the sound or sign you have to sit in the lowest seat next to moose moose and everyone moves a seat thus chaning the animal you were before. Get it?

Afterward Aileen and I ended up at Josh's apartment and we had pizza outside on the picnic table. we just chatted for a bit but it was really nice just to sit there and enjoy each others company. It had been a long but enjoyable day.

The Nutcracker on Ice

1st day of the show, I came by the rink in the afternoon to help set up the back drop and then returned home. Well the first show was a success, it felt just like dress rehersal though.
The first number I was in was the oppening christmas party and I played as a parent. While standing on the side watching the others with their solos my partner in crime Lindsay S. and I sneeked off the ice to change for our next number as Wind up Dolls, it was my fav number. well we got back there changed and put our hair in pig tales. After this number we went around to the other side of the rink for the Snowflake (syncro) number. When this one is done we have intermission. Then near the end of the second half, most of us from the snowflake group came out as flowers and skated to Waltz of the flowers with my coach Rory.

The second day was even better it was amazing! everything was going perfectly!! We even finished the two big boxes(present) that Lindsay and I were supposed to be in for our doll number. The day before since we didn't have them we just bent over and was pushed out. So this time we were behind these boxes so no one could see us, we were pushed out and then bent over so when the boxes moved we were suddenly there! it was AWESOME! Lindsay and I did really good and were synced pretty well. For the snowflake number we did a great job two the whole group did better then we ever have and the lifts went well too. During intermission some of us went into the lobby. I ran into my cuz Aileen, Saw my 1st coach Allison, and then ran into my friend Josh. As we were chatting a women came up and asked if her daughter could get a photo with me. I felt so famous haha. Then I saw some of my students from LTS with there faces all lit up. Josh's younger sister came up and I was able to meet her and his nephew. Then it was back to get ready for our number. Finally we came out for the flower number, it went very well. my fav part was when my coach did a back flip and the crowd just went nuts!! For the bowing Lindsay and I decided to do our syncro jump and it went well.
After ward Emma my cuz and I got a rose from my dad. I went up stairs to get photos with my sister Kelsi +fam and with my dad. Then Josh came over and I met his other sister and got a photo with him.

I really enjoyed the nutcracker and wish we did it for a few more extra days.

Hockey Game

I had the time of my life last night!

First Josh and I went to the Peaks to see a BYU Hockey game. It was both of our first times seeing a hockey game. He got each of us a puck to throw for one of the activities. Durring the game we kept hoping that the hockey players would get in a fight but everytime they got close they were seperated. A little boy with a toy gun started to come over to us and play with Josh, and evertime he came back he had a differnt gun, it was cute to watch. We learned several new things about each other while we watched the game. He taught me how to whistle using my fingers... and i'm still trying to get it right. Near the end we took the pucks he got and with a bunch of other people chucked them towards center Ice. I had tons of fun. Right after that we left and picked up Aileen.

All three of us then went to the Center for some country dancing! We met my deaf friend Gideon Neilson there who's friends sadly were unable to come. I introduced my friends to him and then Aileen was immediately asked to dance by someone. After Gideon reminded/ showed me the dance moves from before, Josh had asked me to dance with him. It was TONS of fun!! and alot easier to dance without the big dress from the last time we danced together. Dancing with Josh was more fun then most of the dances i've been to, it was never boring to dance with him either. He certainly knew how to country dance. We did some country and some waltzing with lots of spins and turns, which got me dizzy, in a good way. :D
At one point I ran into Erica from dads work and she helped us with a spinning drop and my favorite dip. Josh wanted to try some lifts but we only tried "around the world" it was fun and quite a challenge for me. Gideon showed me a step that he made up for a line dance, at first it was hard to get but after a while it was fun. He is very creative!
I've been in dreamland all day long! Just unable to get last night out of my head. it was too much fun! :D

Lesson with an Olympian.

My coach Rory was gone for a week with her son Remmington and my friend Jacq at the California pacific sectional competition. While she was gone she got all of her students a sub coach for the week like she alway's does. Let me tell ya now, I Love my Coach. Rory had asked Surya Bonali a French Silver Medalist to come and coach.

I first met her when It was just her, Jacq and I at the rink, While she was here with us we had a few photographers show up at the ice rink to take photos. Well later that same day after club practice the photographers showed up and she was at a table and there was a line. It was then that my Aunt informed me that she was doing autographs, that's when it dawned on me that she is kind of a big deal. So of course I've got her autograph now.

Later that week for my lesson, Surya helped me improve my Axel by a ton!! I enjoyed the reactions I got from her by my no fear just go jump and do it. She mainly stressed my prep/ entrance and try to jump more in hieght and not distance, then we stuck in my head 1...2.3 to get a rythm going. It was a great and very helpful lesson. Through out the week we would all ask her to play the music on her Ipod, because she had a great mix of music. Also throughout the week she always said hi to me and asked how I was doing, which was very kind of her. On the last day she got a picture with me.

It was a great week having her at the Peaks Ice Areana and a great experience!

Reception

Before the Reception we were at home playing "It came to Pass" and we didn't leave till the last minuet. It was strange driving the van with my sisters in the back, it's always been the other way around. The reception was held at Le Chateu it was a very cute place. Though personaly I would have preferred the ballroom and dinning area in the same room.
Once there, Hailey and I went right away to stand at the doors to tell those arriving where to go. We were supposed to be switching it up with my other sisters but they were being stubborn... finally after a good hour Kelsi and Brenden helped out. So Hailey and I got to have some dessert.
They played a movie of Meredeth and Colin from them as babies to there engagement then we went to the ballroom and danced. It was pretty fun, the Acting up people that meredeth knows was there and helped make it fun. They had the song Dynamite play just for me. I had the chance to decorate their car with Kelsi, Brenden, and Aileen. Also caught the flowers along with two other ppl.

After everyone left, Aileen, Hailey, Colins sister, and I went to the ballroom and started dancing on our own just jamming it up. Then Party in the usa came on and colins sister was really getting into it, so I joined her and we all had tons of fun singing and dancing!!

Wow I look TIRED!

Sisters Wedding

Day of Meredeths wedding. We got ready and drove to the temple. Linda, Melissa, Hailey, and I stayed outside of the Temple to keep an eye on Chase, Paxton, Bailee, and Mylee.
Chase and Bailee enjoyed running around and playing on the fountains. Chase was inseperable from my binoculars too.

All the little cousins together.

Pax was getting quite fussy so I took him for a while to calm him down.

Hailey ended up with Mylee for most the time and they enjoyed each others company. They had fun together.

Finaly Melissa took Pax and he fell asleep. this is us just waiting around for everyone to come out of the temple.

In my red high heels. Chase and Bailee were just so cute sitting together.

Everyone finally came out of the temple and now we just had to wait for the happy couple.

Family

Savanna and her girls came down a little ove a week before the wedding day, so we had sometime to do things together. One of the day's while she was here Bailee wanted to skate with me. Since it was just before halloween the ice rink was having a costume day (hence the outfits). Bailee and I played with some bubbles and with the walker, even Mylee got a few rides with me. We had alot of fun. I'm proud of Bailee for getting out there again and she sure has improved!

With Halloween arriving I asked Bailee to help me decorate, so we put a grave stone in the yard and some skeletons in the windows...

We also got into the halloween dressups for the ward trunk or treat party. Have you ever seen Cinderella with a blanky and a cell phone? Savanna kept looking for something to wear and was making quite the combinations. I have always loved this wedding veil, and I believe it was once upon a time my aunts.

The day before the wedding Linda, Mom and I went to the airport to pick up Hailey and Melissa. Hailey payed for her own plane ticket cause she wanted to come really bad. I'm glad she did too. It was nice seeing them both.

As soon as we returned, Hailey and I went Ice skating, it got boring real fast cause there was mostly just girls there practicing and less of an actual public session. I informed Hailey she could be a great Ice skater, she's good at dancing and balance, all she would need to work is how to figure out how to do that on ice. We had fun.

I just thought this was cute, and had to get a photo. With everyone together we had our usual card game "it came to pass". For the first time I won, and not only once but twice! We get so competitive in this game and I love spending time with family. We also watch a few movies together.

Mylee found the doughnuts and started to help herself. I was shocked to see her take her time in putting the whole thing in her mouth and then eat it. He cheeks were so huge!

On the last day as my dad was taking people to the airport I stayed behind with Hailey and we had some fun playing with our cameras. I really enjoyed having all our family in town and can't wait till we get a chance to get together again.
