Lesson with an Olympian.

My coach Rory was gone for a week with her son Remmington and my friend Jacq at the California pacific sectional competition. While she was gone she got all of her students a sub coach for the week like she alway's does. Let me tell ya now, I Love my Coach. Rory had asked Surya Bonali a French Silver Medalist to come and coach.

I first met her when It was just her, Jacq and I at the rink, While she was here with us we had a few photographers show up at the ice rink to take photos. Well later that same day after club practice the photographers showed up and she was at a table and there was a line. It was then that my Aunt informed me that she was doing autographs, that's when it dawned on me that she is kind of a big deal. So of course I've got her autograph now.

Later that week for my lesson, Surya helped me improve my Axel by a ton!! I enjoyed the reactions I got from her by my no fear just go jump and do it. She mainly stressed my prep/ entrance and try to jump more in hieght and not distance, then we stuck in my head 1...2.3 to get a rythm going. It was a great and very helpful lesson. Through out the week we would all ask her to play the music on her Ipod, because she had a great mix of music. Also throughout the week she always said hi to me and asked how I was doing, which was very kind of her. On the last day she got a picture with me.

It was a great week having her at the Peaks Ice Areana and a great experience!
