Cut-sies in Kooskia

3/16/11 Mitchel took me to Kooskia Idaho to meet the rest of his family. I was excited but nervous at the same time. The ride up was fun, we talked about all kinds of things and got there in good time. Our first stop was to the school where his Dad(Bill) an two brothers, Rand, Bryson were playing basketball. We said hi and I was introduced then headed to the house where I met his other two brothers Thann, and Kade, sister in law Jennifer and her mom, niece Sage, and nephew Raden. Mitchel tried to play with his niece but she didn't seem so sure about him yet, though she did warm up to me faster then him.

We all had dinner and visited but when the guys got back from basketball we had to leave shortly after to the nighebors house we were going to be spending our nights at up the Mt.

3/17/11

We read our scriptures together(every morning) before going back down to the house. Of course in a small town you don't do too much so it was pretty laid back in the mornings. Then i was showed a video they did on a homeless man, it was really good. Mitch showed me all the things they had there and went for a walk. They have a beautiful river behind their house. Latter when Kade got home from school we all squished into 2 diff cars and headed off on a 2ish hr drive to Lewiston, I was smooshed between Mitchel and his Dad. The whole ride up and back I chatted with Bill, we had alot of good conversations and he reminded me alot of my dad. While the guys went to a priesthood meeting, Us girls went accross a bridge into WA to shop at Walmart for baby things. That was fun to see all the little things they had and it was super enjoyable to get to know Jen more. Once as the men arrived and the shopping was complete we drove till we found a pizza hut that let us come in to eat when they were closing.

Yum, Bill made me some awesome pancakes and pretty much most of the day we spent lazying around. But once as Kade was home we went to Grangeville for a bday party where I met 2 of Mitchels aunts and his Grandma. Following visits the guys and I went to the church, they played basketball while i watched.. but I ended up playing the piano. Back at his aunts we had ice cream and a great time chatting. Then we started to take goofy pictures of us flapping our lips.. they turned out great! On the way back I had another great conversation with Bill.

~March 19th 2011~

In the morning Jens mom was at the house we were staying at getting ready for Jens baby shower, she invited me to stay. So after thinking about it for a while I decided to stay and Mitchel left. The ladies there were really nice and we had some great conversations going. One of the things we did wad get in 3 groups and had to make someone a diaper out of toilet paper and I got to be one of the dummies for that but it was fun! Jen got some really cute things for Raden that people made for them. We had some food and more conversations as ppl started to leave.

Back at the house all the brothers were accounted for accept for mitchel who was busy talking to his dad. About an hour later they came into the house and Bill offered to make some more pancakes, and again they were delicious!

Mitch and I decided to go on a walk up by some ponds. He was telling me about his conversation with his dad and other things in life. When we stopped at a little red cabin near the river accross the bridge. He started talking about me and him, eternity and I thought it was going to be the same as other conversations we've had. He asked me about Forever, and then to my surprise got down on his knee, I was grinning so much but I had my hand over my mouth. He was emotional and started to get teary, I don't even remember most of what he said except for "Tori Elizabeth Hill, Will you Marry me?". I said "Yes". Then I kissed him. We hugged and I kept laughing with joy. It was quite the surprise!!
We went back to the house and I was just all smiles and so everyone got the idea of what happend and congratulated us. Then we left to go to the Alumni basketball games which were so cool! Bill played and did an awesome job. Then Mitch and his bros played. Afterward we all had ice cream and I told them stories of Mitchel. Like our first kiss, and such. It was enjoyable to have everyone around laughing.3/20/11
Sunday we all went to church, which is a good 30min away. Bill gave a great talk durring sacrament. Sage had fallen aslep and Bryson gave her to me to watch while he taught his class. So for class with Mitch we mostly entertained her and I enjoyed it alot. For reliefe society I enjoyed our lesson on the Word of Wisdom. Afterward one of the ladies from the babyshower came up to me and asked if he had proposed. Once back we got some photos of the reinactment of the proposal then spent the rest of the day relaxing.

At dinner they all told me stories of Mitchel when he was little, and they were hilarious and embarassing, but once again it was very enjoyable to have everyone around talkign and laughing.

Bill, Sage, Kade, Mitch, and I went for a walk down the road. that was fun, It is so beautiful in Kooskia. we saw some deer and some dead things, but we also found some cool rocks and had lots of good conversations.

To end the night we played several games, two i've never played before and dont remember the names to and the other was Moose Moose. it was a great way to end the evening with family.

3/21/11 Mitchel got a blessing from his dad before we left, and we dropped Kade off at school on our way out. Thann and Rand have spring break so we brought them home with us. The drive home felt like it took a long time but it was enjoyable. Once home We all sat around and chatted with my dad for a bit before They left.

I really enjoyed my time in Kooskia, it was beautiful, eventful and fun up there.
